WHAT IS JQ54 ART FOR ALL EXHIBITION
The JQ54 Art For All event is an open art exhibition and competition with the theme of remembrance and armistice which is fundraising for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Chepstow. It is taking place at the Greenman Backpackers Moot Hall and at various other businesses in Chepstow from 9th November - 3rd December 2018.
WHY JQ54?
I chose The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in honour of our Grandad, a proud Ex-Grenadier Guard who sadly passed away recently. When I talked to him about his Grenadier days he would always refer to himself as JQ54.
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
We are looking for artists to submit work for the open art exhibition and it is open to everyone, amateur and professional. You can also be part of the larger community piece of remembrance art we are making. Children and adults can paint a poppy on a pebble and it will be added to the large piece of artwork being revealed in December. We are also looking for keen knitters and crocheters who can knit or crochet a poppy for our curtain of remembrance. Finally children can submit a poppy or poem for our remembrance wall to be displayed through out the exhibition. Click on the 'Get Involved' page to find out more.
